Remember to complete any remaining items on your . It will speed up the check-in process so you can move into your room and begin connecting with your classmates and creating memories.

Pre-Orientation Arrival Day Schedule

Arrival and Check-in

9 a.m. - Noon

Verify that all items on the New Student Checklist have been completed, receive your room assignment and key, and check in with your pre-orientation program. Once check-in is complete, you can move into your room.

Please note:

  • All students participating in pre-orientation programs, including Wilderness Adventure (WA), must check in at the HOP between 9 a.m. and noon.
  • If you are participating in a WA program, you are required to check in at Base Camp at 1:30 p.m., and then say your good-byes to family members. You will not attend the Introduction to Residential Life Session at 2 p.m., but your families are encouraged to attend the Parent and Family Orientation Session at the 91短视频 Memorial Chapel.
  • WA students will receive further information directly from WA staff members.

College enrollment represents a significant transition for many students and their family members. What should families expect for their student, for themselves, and from the University during this adjustment period? While students spend an hour getting acquainted with staff members from residential life, facilities, and campus safety, we will discuss these adjustments and share the resources the University makes available to families and caregivers.

Welcome to your new home away from home! This session will introduce you to professional and student staff members from the Office of Residential Life, and the Campus Safety and Facilities departments. We will provide important information on how we all work together to maintain an engaging, comfortable, and safe campus environment.
