Second-year students seeking professional guidance from industry leaders gathered for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Career Services’ annual SophoMORE Connections program, from Jan. 20 to 21.

Panelists and keynote speakers representing a variety of health care professions and organizations gathered with students for the biannual Michael J. Wolk ’60 MD Conference on Medical Education. 

Biology and computer science major Macdonald Chirara ’25, from Marondera, Zimbabwe, describes his internship at Imire: Rhino and Wildlife Conservancy, where he aided in wildlife conservation efforts.

Environmental biology major Tessa Mountain ’23, from Ambler, Pa., describes her research for the Adirondack Center for Loon Conservation.

Psychology major Aliza Reinstein ’23, from Potomac, Md., describes her internship at the Child Mind Institute, where she is working with children with behavioral and developmental disorders at an intensive summer treatment program.

Film studies major Hunter Keller ’24, from Deerfield, Mass., describes her internship at Northern Light Productions, where she helped to create museum exhibits and other educational media.

This summer, Aleksia Taci ’25 joined Professor Meredyth Winter in researching and analyzing archeological textiles from the city of Rayy, Iran, from the 10th–12th century.

Film and Media studies major Claire Chen ’24, from Changshu, China, describes her research into Asian LGBTQ+ experiences in the film industry.
