The conference will feature 91¶ÌÊÓƵ professors Peter Balakian and Kyle Bass as workshop instructors, alongside other distinguished visiting faculty from Hamilton College, Cornell University, Ithaca College, and more.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of Geography and Environmental Studies Emerita Ellen Percy Kraly was honored by the Center for Migration Studies at its 2025 Academic and Policy Symposium in New York City.

Activist Fredrika Newton, president and co-founder of the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation, will deliver 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s 2026 MLK Celebration Keynote Address. The celebration’s opening ceremony and keynote address set the tone for a week of learning, dialogue, and collective action grounded in community, empathy and justice.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ faculty, staff, and alumni regularly provide their expertise and contribute to national and regional media outlets shaping discussions about vital research and current events.

Mr. Robert Hung Ngai Ho ’56, H’11, C.M., O.B.C., passed away peacefully in Vancouver, Canada, on Nov. 30, 2025, at the age of 93.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s commitment to green building practices earned a gold LEED certification for Bernstein Hall, the new home for the Arts, Creativity, and Innovation Initiative.

What began as a 91¶ÌÊÓƵ research paper earned Abrielle Silva ’26 first place at the New York State Economics Association’s 2025 Undergraduate Paper Contest.

While at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ as Christian A. Johnson Foundation Artist-in-Residence, Maxwell met with classes, gave a lecture, and shared his work in progress with an open studio in Bernstein Hall.

ALANA puts on the show every year, encouraging students to model clothing representative of their cultures.

Students interested in physics, engineering, and computer science attended the workshop — hosted by Career Services — on Oct. 22 in Benton Hall.
