This summer Jack Lira ’26 assembled a variety of experiences, from behind the scenes to the red carpet. He pursued internships, volunteer work, and events that took him to the Cannes Film Festival, the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Writers Conference, and the Gotham Television Awards.

This summer, the Manzi Fellowship selected 12 students who gained experience in health care, education, and community service, each bringing their liberal arts background and skills to the host organizations.

Barbara Gonzalez Fuentes ’25 made the most of her summer in South Africa. She completed a GIS and reserve management internship at Gondwana Game Reserve, and volunteered as an environmental educator in Cape Town with not-for-profit Nature Connect.
