91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s administration and faculty are drawing on national best practices and creating their own innovative approaches to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in tenure-stream hiring.  

Laura Jack, vice president for communications, will serve as acting CDO, providing coordination and oversight for DEI initiatives while the search for a permanent hire continues.

Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ announced the creation of two endowed faculty chairs that will support teaching and research in areas important to The Third-Century Plan.

Filmmaker Julie Cohen ’86 has found joy in documenting the lives of women, making her an ideal guest speaker during 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s yearlong 50th anniversary celebration of coeducation.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ received an all-time record number of applications for admission, shattering all previous records in the history of this two-century old liberal arts college. 

Thursday, Dec. 10, 2020, provided a rare opportunity to celebrate in a challenging year. On that evening, 324 early decision applicants became the inaugural members of the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Class of 2025.

After two years of careful planning, a reimagined Lampert Institute boasts new areas of inquiry to guide research and course design and an expanded summer research program.

Following a successful five-year pilot study, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ will launch First@91¶ÌÊÓƵ, a program to provide essential support and resources for undergraduates who will be the first in their families to attain a degree from a four-year institution of higher education.
